Bloody Scary & Bloody Tooth cocktails

 

Ingredients for Bloody Scary Cocktail

• 4 ounces prosecco
• 1 ounce freshly squeezed blood orange juice
• 1/2 ounce Campari
• 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
• 1 ounce Blavod Black vodka, chilled

Ingredients for Bloody Tooth Cocktail

• 1 1/2 ounces rye whiskey
• 1 1/2 ounces pomegranate juice
• 1 ounce Simple Syrup
• 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
• Ice cubes
• Pomegranate seeds, for garnish
• Lemon twist, for garnish

Autumn in Mississippi

Gorgeous views and beautiful sunset make a perfect end to a relaxing weekend. May sound cheesy, but it's such a wonderful feeling to sit and hear silence...no interstate, no phones, just nature. I am so inspired by Asian design for my new look, and I believe more than ever that it's not about what you buy but what you can create. I am crazy about anything lacquered, and if you are too, then you should know that all it takes is a trip to Hobby Lobby to turn any piece around. It's all about the refurbish.

I wanted conversation pieces, and I wanted functionality. Now, not only do I have a fashionable side table, but I have the ever so popular revival of the cocktail table.

Coming soon to the cocktail table: lamp, tortoise shell high ball glasses, personalized tray, fun cocktail napkins, plus some great gifts we received during our Stock the Bar party. Thanks to a friend we got some great antique bar accessories. Thanks Fay!

Artsy Fartsy

While browsing through the second issue of one of my favorites, High Gloss Magazine, I started thinking of how I could use some featured Andy Warhol prints in a understated way where I wouldn't immediately get vetoed by the fiance. Needless to say, I still haven't figured it out, but I dig 'em, and maybe he could too.

Today's goal: re-create this painting the best way possible minus the fact that I will not be using oils, but acrylics instead...plus, I do not have an art degree. Hum...wish me luck!
